Land Rights & Legal Literacy

Equipping pastoralist women with the knowledge and tools to claim and protect their land rights through participatory legal education and policy advocacy.

Across West Pokot, women have historically been excluded from formal land-tenure processes - leaving them vulnerable to displacement, especially during drought-driven migration. Our Land Rights & Legal Literacy programme meets this gap with paralegal training, mobile legal clinics, and direct support for land documentation, paired with sustained engagement of county and national policymakers.
